A clear shift in thinking around visibility

Testimonial by Nadine Dyer, Senior Manager, Deloitte

Penny Haslam helped Deloitte build visibility, confidence and momentum around mentoring at its SRTA Mentoring Summit

Penny Haslam's keynote truly set the tone for Deloitte’s SRTA Mentoring Summit and resonated strongly with everyone in the room. Feedback from participants and senior leaders was overwhelmingly positive.

Her focus on the PIE framework particularly landed, with many highlighting a clear shift in thinking around increasing their visibility and being more intentional in how they show up.

Participants identified practical actions they would take as a result of the session, from starting more purposeful coffee conversations and seeking speaking opportunities to building their personal brand and sharing their work more proactively.

Beyond the practical takeaways, Penny’s authenticity and energy created a safe and inspiring environment. Many participants reflected on feeling more confident to step outside their comfort zone and take ownership of their careers.

Thank you again for such an engaging and impactful session—it made a real difference and was a highlight of the Summit.

How Penny Haslam helped Deloitte build momentum around mentoring

Deloitte wanted its SRTA Mentoring Summit to broaden the reach of mentoring, particularly among female managers and senior leaders. It needed a keynote that would encourage people to see mentoring as a practical tool for career development, rather than another demand on already busy managers.

Penny tailored her Make Yourself a Little Bit Famous keynote around these ambitions, helping participants connect mentoring with professional visibility, purposeful relationships and career ownership.

Penny’s tailored keynote helped participants to:

  • Understand the PIE framework: A practical way to consider Performance, Image and Exposure in their career development.
  • Build more purposeful relationships: Seeing mentoring and coffee conversations as useful opportunities to learn, contribute and raise their profile.
  • Take practical action: Seeking speaking opportunities, sharing their work and developing their personal brand.
  • Take greater ownership of their careers: Building the confidence to step outside their comfort zone and make intentional choices about their next steps.
